Business Continuity Management System Policy

Zone recognises the importance of resilient operations and minimising disruption for its customers, employees, shareholders, partners, regulators and other interested parties.

We are committed to maintaining and continually improving a Business Continuity Management System aligned with ISO 22301 and integrated with our other management systems.

Strategic Alignment

Zone’s mission is:

To connect every monetary store of value by harnessing the power of blockchain technology.

Our Business Continuity Management System supports this mission by protecting the people, assets, technology, processes, products, services and third-party dependencies required to deliver our critical activities.

Scope

The Business Continuity Management System applies to the organisational functions, locations, people, information, technology, suppliers, processes, products and services included within Zone’s approved BCMS scope.

The scope, dependencies, interfaces and any justified exclusions are documented, approved and reviewed following significant organisational or operational changes.

Our Commitments

Zone is committed to:

  • Establishing measurable business continuity objectives consistent with our strategic direction and operations.
  • Identifying critical activities, disruption risks, dependencies and the potential impacts of interruption.
  • Establishing appropriate continuity and recovery strategies for critical products, services and business processes.
  • Maintaining business continuity plans and response arrangements that protect life, assets, operations, revenue, customer service and stakeholder interests.
  • Providing appropriate resilience and redundancy for critical processes, products and services.
  • Complying with applicable legal, regulatory, contractual and other business continuity requirements.
  • Providing the people, competence, technology, information, facilities and funding required to operate and improve the BCMS.
  • Promoting business continuity awareness and good practice among employees and relevant external parties.
  • Exercising and testing continuity arrangements at planned intervals and following material changes.

Business Continuity Objectives

Zone establishes, documents, resources, monitors and periodically reviews business continuity objectives that support:

  • Assurance to customers and other interested parties of Zone’s continuity capability.
  • Protection and safety of employees, other affected persons, company assets and resources.
  • Resilience and recoverability of critical processes, products and services.

  • Compliance with applicable legal, regulatory and contractual obligations.
  • Reduction of the operational, financial, legal, regulatory and reputational consequences of disruption.
  • Effective business continuity awareness across the organisation.

Business continuity objectives and implementation plans form part of our management-system planning cycle. Progress is reviewed at planned intervals, and amendments are managed through the applicable change-management arrangements.

Governance and Responsibilities

Zone’s top management is accountable for the effectiveness of the Business Continuity Management System and ensures that:

  • This policy supports Zone’s strategic direction.
  • Appropriate roles, responsibilities and authorities are assigned.
  • Business continuity requirements are integrated into relevant business processes.
  • Adequate resources are provided to operate, maintain and improve the BCMS.
  • Business continuity management and continual improvement are promoted throughout the organisation.
  • Management reviews are conducted at planned intervals.

Business and process owners are responsible for identifying continuity requirements, maintaining current plans, participating in exercises, addressing corrective actions and reporting material changes or incidents.

All employees and relevant external personnel are expected to understand and fulfil the business continuity responsibilities applicable to their roles.

Performance Evaluation and Continual Improvement

Zone evaluates the effectiveness of its Business Continuity Management System through planned exercises, audits, performance measures, incident reviews, stakeholder feedback, corrective actions and management reviews.

We maintain a documented approach to continual improvement and update the BCMS when organisational changes, operating conditions, risks, obligations or lessons learned require it.

Communication and Review

This policy communicates Zone’s intent and direction for business continuity management. It is communicated within the organisation, made available to relevant stakeholders and provided to interested parties upon appropriate request.

The policy is reviewed at planned intervals and following significant changes to ensure it remains suitable, adequate, effective and aligned with Zone’s operations and obligations.
